This is a great game. I have had it for a while and I just can't get enough. The game play overall is terrific. The customization for you characters may not have very many options for their skin tone and styles, but once you start playing and are able to access the "Rock Shop", you can buy clothes(In Punk, Metal, and Thrift Shops), Instruments, and Piercings and masks. The game play is very good in my eyes. The notes are not round like Guitar Hero because Rock Band requires closer timing to the note. There are very many venues to play at and songs to play and you are also able to pick what songs you want in your set list during tour and quick play modes when available. With 84 songs coming with the Rock Band 2 disc and in some boxes an additional 20 downloaded songs using a code on the back of the game guide you will find yourself playing very many different songs. If 84 songs isn't enough or you don't like any of the songs, if connected to XBOX LIVE you have the option of downloading different songs or track packs. Single songs cost about 160 Microsoft points and some will cost about 80. Track packs cost more than regular songs and there are certain albums for download on Rock Band 2. You are also able to play online with other people from all over the world in Band Quick play, Score Duel, Tug Of War and you can have people join you in your World Tour mode or substitute in other people's band. Last but not least you don’t have to use the regular Rock Band 2 kit. For example, I use a guitar hero 3 wireless guitar controller and a Fender Stratocaster wired controller for the original Rock Band. The original Rock Band Set for the drums and Microphone too. Overall this game is definitely worth your money.
