Amazing Game 9.5/10

Reviewed by exodus2424 on October 25, 2008  |  report this review

This is my #3 favorite game of all time.I give it a 9.5/10

Story Line 10/10 For a lot of people, the story was a let down, but that is because they don't understand the end. They ask questions like, why can Desmond use the Eagle's vision.I thought he and Altair were different people, and what are all those markings on the wall that signify the abrupt end of the game. However,if you do a little research you will find that all the symbols and writing that is on the walls is from various religions and cultures that point to the end of the world. As for the Eagle's Vision thing,if you read all of the e-mails,you would know that there is a thing called "bleeding" in which the person on the animus starts to lose the ability to discern himself from the person who's memories he is viewing. Thus giving him the Eagle's Vision ability. The end leaves you still with questions and in case you didn't know, the treasure in the end was also a map to find the other two pieces of eden.

Gameplay:9.5/10 Amazing gameplay. The characters moves are so fluid and well executed without flaw. The only reason that I say it get's a 9.5 in the gameplay category is because it can get somewhat repetitive.

Graphics:10/10 The graphics are amazing. The cities are well detailed and every where you look there are places to climb on to the roof such as cracks in the walls, wooden overhangs, windows, and many more. The Kingdom area is well detailed, the rock walls and canyons looked almost real the random little rocks that you see just shows how good the graphics are and how much detail was put in the game.

Sound:9.5/10 The sound is amazing as well, you can hear the eagles screech and when you are riding a horse,as you go over different types of surface, the sound that the hooves makes changes as it should. The sword clashes and draws and sheaths sounded perfect as well. However there were annoying periods of about one second that happened when you were in a fight that when you hit them, you would not hear the sound, but you could still hear everything else.Very annoying because it can happen alot.

Replayability:7/10 The game is amazing on your first playthrough, but the second time it is rather boring because,A-there is no multiplayer, and B-there is nothing else to do that is different from the first playthrough. There is only two extra things to do in the game besides achievements of course(although these two things do give achievements). Those two things are kill all the Templars and find all the flags in every city and the kingdom which can take a very long time.

Overall;9.5/10
Hope you enjoyed my review.
