Better Than Molyneux Described!

Fable 2 is finally here. Fable is set 500 years in the future from the frist Fable. You start off as a little runt living on the streets with your sister, and how you develop is all up to you. The game is great and has outstanding gameplay. Its probably the best game on the market at the time. Fable's graphics are incredible. The controls are fun and easy to master. The story of the game is just outstanding. The single player is so good that you might not even get around to the multiplayer. The dog mechanic is great, and could use some slight adjustments. But who cares, this game is awesome. It's gonna be hard for any game to follow this year. Gears of War and Fallout 3 may just be in a run for their money. Final say is 5 out of 5!!!

First off I want to say that this is one of my favorite games of all time.It is an amazing game.

Graphics:10/10 The graphics are great especially in the cut scenes. There is no problem with the graphics at all.The environment is very well detailed and the cities look amazing as well.

Gameplay:10/10 The melee weapons are easy to use but at the same time, they are fun to use too.At first I thought that the game was going to be ruined by the guns but I was wrong. The guns actually make the game even more fun to play and also have numerous roles in your adventures(such as the switches that you have to shoot to get some doors to open). But my favorite part was the Will(magic) powers. They were really cool to use on the enemies and once they were leveled up,they could kill almost any enemy in a single spell if you charged it long enough.

Story:7/10 The story was nice and all, but it was incredibly short. In an interview with Peter Molyneaux,he said that it would take around 12 hours to beat the games story mode the first time through but it only took about 4.And the lass boss was an extreme disappointment.I won't say who the final boss is for all of the people who haven't beaten it yet,but I will say that after all the talking the boss does,he goes down in one gun shot.End of the game.

Replayability:7/10 Essentially there is no replay vale since there is a new game plus system in which you keep everything that you have, but you don't have the option to complete the story mode again unless you create a BRAND NEW file and start with nothing again.

Sound:10/10 The sound was just as perfect as the graphics(Although those Gargoyles did get annoying). There were no problems I had with the sound.

Overall I give it a 9.5/10.It is definitely a great game to have.

As surprising as this is for me, Fable 2 turned out to be a big disappointment, at least from my point of view. First Off, let me say the visuals are AMAZING with two capitol A's and the controls are passable, with only the magic system giving me any kind of gripe. The story however, falls on it's face out of the gate by being the generic fantasy story of 'Bright eyed poor kid has great tragedy and spends life fixing it, while simultaneously saving the earth yada yada.' The fact that Lionhead was able to squish it into less than 10 hours was admirable, but left it feeling rushed. The game play is standard adventure/rpg fare, I.E. doing lots of quests to level yourself up or gain moneys to buy expensive items to kill baddies easier. While I expected this, I hadn't expected working for hours on end at a dead end ((Not To mention Fictional)) job to get the cash I needed to buy said items. Combat has the same description as the controls, with the Melee feeling as useful as ever while Magic usually falls by the wayside and Range fits neatly in the middle. But lets get on to the one thing that caused more rage than anything. THE DOG. I'm quite aware that his main job is to help search for gold, but when I'm having giant rocks thrown at my head by a PO'd Rock Troll, I don't want to go digging for Condoms. And helping the fight is out of the question. Even at the highest level of fighting skill, he stood by and barked about a rusted out necklace buried a few feet away.

But lest make this nice an simple. In the End, if you liked the Original Fable, your going to like this game, maybe to a lesser extent as I did, but that's up to personal opinion. If not, I suggest hitting a local game retailer and picking up Fable: The Lost Chapters.
